2022 State Convention

The Republican Party of Texas met on Houston for its 2022 Convention June 16 -18. Delegates attending included 8 Members and 14 Sponsors of the Republican Club at Heritage Ranch.


State-wide Delegates elected Matt Rinaldi to be Chairman and Dr. Dana Myers to be Vice Chairman for two-year terms beginning June 2022.


Senate District 8 Delegates elected Maggie Whitt and Jim Pikl to be State Republican Executive Committee Chairwoman and Chairman respectively for two-year terms beginning June 2022.


State-wide Delegates adopted rules for the Party for 2022-2023, adopted a platform with 275 planks for 2022-2023, and selected eight Legislative Priorities for the 88th Session of the Texas Legislature in 2023. The party platform and explanations of each priority may be seen at the links below.


The eight Legislative Priorities are

2.   Secure the Border and Protect Texans

3.   Ban Gender Modification of Children

4.   Stop Sexualizing Texas Kids

5.   Ban Democrat Chairs
